NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Police are investigating a shooting in North Hollywood where at least one person was found wounded and multiple suspects were arrested, authorities said.

Officers responded to a call at an apartment complex near Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Saticoy Street around midnight and discovered at least one victim – described only as a man in his 20s – suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police.

No information has been released on the victim’s condition, but video from the scene showed a body covered by a tarp.

Investigators said that as officers arrived, someone fired at them.

No officers were hit, and police did not return fire.

Authorities said at least four suspects were taken into custody at the scene. Police later said a total of five suspects were detained.

The investigation remains active as officers continue gathering evidence and determining what led up to the gunfire.
