Presidents’ Day is a time for relaxation, slower mornings, and maybe a quick trip out for coffee, groceries, or last-minute household essentials. However, not every service will be operating on regular hours on Presidents’ Day, Feb. 16, 2026.
While many major U.S. retailers and grocery stores remain open on Presidents’ Day, several services tied to the federal government, including banks, post offices, and government offices, typically close or operate on limited schedules for the holiday.

Albertsons Generally open, though some locations may run modified holiday hours. CVS Most locations open, but hours vary by store. Starbucks Usually open, though individual store hours may vary.
