Two Olympic games, two Olympic goals for Sharks star Macklin Celebrini.
For the second consecutive day, the 19-year-old Celebrini scored to help Team Canada pick up another commanding win, as it routed Team Switzerland 5-1 on Friday at Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena in Milano, Italy.
Celebrini’s rocket one-timer came at the 4:14 mark in the second period and gave Team Canada a 3-1 lead.
Macklin Celebrini, the 19-year-old phenom for the San Jose Sharks, scored a goal in his second-straight Olympic match with Canada. This time against Switzerland.
Celebrini also picked up his first Olympic assist when he and Connor McDavid set up Nathan MacKinnon’s late third-period goal to seal the win.
In two games, Celebrini has three points while playing on a line with McDavid and MacKinnon, two of the NHL’s best players.
Celebrini and Team Canada close out Preliminary Round play on Sunday against France.
