At around 9 p.m. Tuesday, a 27-year-old woman was in a vehicle with Myers making online food delivery orders when he drove to a secluded location and allegedly tried sexually assaulting her.
When she resisted, Myers allegedly stabbed her multiple times and held her in the vehicle so she couldn’t flee.
The woman convinced Myers to let her go into a Walgreens to get first aid items and the store staff called the police for her, according to investigators.
Myers fled the scene in his silver Honda Civic, according to officials.

Law enforcement agencies in Oregon and California told Salem detectives they had reports indicating Myers’ vehicle had been seen. This is when the detectives learned Myers left Oregon and was in California traveling south toward Bakersfield, police said.
The California Highway Patrol helped find and take Myers into custody after Salem police called CHP for help.
Myers was taken into custody without incident, Salem police said. He is set to be extradited to Oregon to face multiple charges including attempted murder.
