A firefighter was injured Sunday night while battling a blaze at an old motel in Fresno.
Crews from the Fresno Fire Department responded to the vacant City Motel just after 9:30 p.m. to a report of a fire at 2309 S G Street.
Firefighters were able to knock down the flames, but not before one firefighter partially fell into a hole, suffering a lower-body injury, officials say. He was taken to a hospital for observation.
After extinguishing the fire, crews searched the motel and found no one inside.
