Associated Students opened scholarship applications for the spring 2026 semester on Jan. 5 and will close on March 1.

The ASI Student Wellness Initiative has been approved to add $105,000 in scholarship funding for students in both the spring and fall semesters this year, with the total budget increasing from $60,000 to $165,000 with the additional funds, split between the two semesters.

Continuing students at Cal State Fullerton now have access to nine separate scholarships and 195 scholarship opportunities, 65 more compared to fall 2025. Each scholarship award totals up to $1000 each and a special Titan Shops scholarship worth $250 credit.

ASI offers scholarships to students of all majors who have completed at least one semester and plan to enroll in the fall of 2026. First-semester students are not eligible for these scholarships.

The scholarships offered this semester include Adult Re-Entry Scholarship, Formerly Incarcerated Students Scholarship, Graduate Student Scholarship, Harvey McKee Student Leader Scholarship, Carol Burke Memorial Scholarship, Pathway to Success Scholarship, Milton A. Gordon Scholarship, Student-Parent Scholarship and Virginia McGarvey Memorial Scholarship.

Undergraduate and credential students must be in good standing, with at least 12 units for undergraduates and six units for graduate students. Undergraduate students must also maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5, and graduate students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.

The ASI and Titan Shops collaborate to give a $250 book award to 45 students, providing course books and materials for the semester.

“That’s our scholarship that we give the most awards out since we started the program last year, and it’s open to any student that meets the minimum eligibility requirements to ensure that we’re meeting all communities, any student that falls into any community that has a need or a desire for additional financial assistance,” said ASI Director of Corporate Affairs Susan Collins about the ASI Pathway to Success scholarship.

After the application period closes, the scholarship committee will review all submissions.

Students will receive notification of the award decision in 8-10 weeks. Once recipients are selected for the scholarships, the list of awardees will be sent to the Office of Financial Aid for processing.

“It’s really important for students, as they are pursuing their education, and they’re already facing so many other issues and challenges, and it just impacts things that are happening in their lives. This is one way to offset some of that,” Collins said.

ASI has recently transitioned the scholarship application process to the campus portal, so students can log in through the campus website, search for scholarships and apply for all scholarships available through the school and ASI in a single application.

Christina Cardenas, director of organizational communications and outreach for ASI, encourages students to apply now since it is now easier through the campus portal.

“I think having the scholarship office, the process, the way it is now, it should make it a little bit easier for students to find all the money they need to pay for their essentials,” Cardenas said.

Additionally, the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid and California Dream Act applications are now open, with a priority deadline of March 2 to be considered for the maximum aid available based on eligibility.
