Black History Month film screening: The Foundation for Women Warriors hosts a free virtual screening of the “Six Triple Eight” documentary in honor of Black History Month. The historical film is about the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, known as the Six Triple Eight, an all-Black, all-female battalion that was deployed to Europe during World War II. By the end of the war, despite facing racism and sexism, the Six Triple Eight had cleared over 17 million items of backlogged mail, helping troops stay in contact with loved ones back home. 4 p.m. Wednesday.
