The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced that Mysti Lee Ary, a 49-year-old Bakersfield resident, has been charged with felony fleeing the scene of an accident causing permanent, serious injury for a June 15, 2025, accident along Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Ary made her first court appearance Friday, January 30 in Ventura County Superior Court where she pled not guilty.

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, Ary is accused of being involved in a hit-and-run collision with a runner along PCH in Ventura County. Ary is alleged to have struck the pedestrian and then left the scene without stopping to render aid or identify herself. First responders located the injured pedestrian at the scene with significant injuries.

Following an investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Ary was identified as the alleged driver. She was arrested several days later, and the vehicle believed to be involved in the collision was located and seized as evidence.

Deputy District Attorney Jordan Pitcher, a member of the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office General Trials Unit, is prosecuting the case.

Ary’s next court date is an early disposition conference scheduled for Monday, February 9, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Ary remains out of custody and was released on her own recognizance.
