California High-Speed Rail Authority CEO Ian Choudri arrested for domestic violence, Folsom police say

Ian Choudri, the CEO of the California High-Speed Rail Authority, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery in Folsom earlier this month, authorities said.Folsom police said Choudri, 57, was arrested in a neighborhood in Folsom on Feb. 4. The arrest occurred one day after Choudri appeared with Gov. Gavin Newsom to celebrate the completion of the Southern Railhead facility in Kern County. Choudri was appointed to his position by the authority’s board of directors in August 2024. He previously worked in more than 18 countries on mega construction projects, according to an online bio. FOLSOM, Calif. —
Ian Choudri, the CEO of the California High-Speed Rail Authority, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery in Folsom earlier this month, authorities said.
Folsom police said Choudri, 57, was arrested in a neighborhood in Folsom on Feb. 4. The arrest occurred one day after Choudri appeared with Gov. Gavin Newsom to celebrate the completion of the Southern Railhead facility in Kern County.
Choudri was appointed to his position by the authority’s board of directors in August 2024. He previously worked in more than 18 countries on mega construction projects, according to an online bio.
The California High-Speed Rail Authority said it was reviewing the matter but did not have a comment.
