BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (KABC) — A man accused of shooting two people in a Target parking lot in Baldwin Park died by suicide overnight, according to police.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired on Baldwin Park Boulevard just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department. A man and woman who were shot were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Police tracked the suspect to a car in Covina, where they say he shot himself.
Video from the initial shooting scene shows an officer carrying two children away. It’s not clear how they’re involved in the case, but investigators believe the suspect and victims knew each other.
