Forecasters warn of additional showers Tuesday night through Thursday.
Los Angeles is expected to see two additional storm systems this week, following a powerful round of rain and mountain snowfall that swept through the region Monday.
The initial storm moved east Monday evening, but forecasters said atmospheric instability remains in place, leaving open the possibility of light, scattered showers through Tuesday. The National Weather Service of Los Angeles encourages drivers to avoid driving through flooded areas.

Conditions may briefly improve Tuesday morning with some sunshine, but another system is forecast to arrive late Tuesday night and continue into Wednesday morning. That storm is expected to bring another round of rain before tapering off later Wednesday.
A third storm is projected to move into the area Thursday morning. Unlike the earlier systems, it is expected to produce lighter, intermittent showers throughout the day.
