A driver who crashed into a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department patrol car early Tuesday morning in West Hollywood was arrested on suspicion of DUI, the agency told NBC4 Investigates.
The deputy was driving at about 2 a.m. near Santa Monica Boulevard and Sweetzer Avenue their patrol car was hit by a driver who left the scene. The deputy was treated for minor injuries and released later Tuesday morning from a hospital.
Other deputies responded and, using a description of the vehicle that hit the deputy’s patrol car tracked down the driver, who was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and DUI.
