SAN JOSE, CA — Three people were injured and a dog died in a house fire Sunday afternoon in East San Jose, fire officials said.

The fire was reported about 4:20 p.m. in the 10100 block of Endfield Way.

One firefighter and two residents of the home suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and officials said a dog died in the blaze.

The home had major fire damage and six residents were displaced. A neighboring house sustained heat damage on the outside and smoke damage inside, according to the San Jose Fire Department.

The fire was knocked down about 4:45 p.m.
