Grab your baseball caps and head downtown because the 14th Annual East Village Block Party is back, happening right outside Petco Park on Opening Weekend.
The free, family-friendly celebration takes over J Street from 6th to 10th Avenues with live entertainment, sports-themed activities, a classic car show, local vendors, and tasty bites.

Classic Cars, Fitness Demos, and Interactive Family Activities
This year’s Block Party transforms the streets into a lively celebration of baseball, community, and culture. You can stroll through a walk-through classic car show, check out fitness and sports demonstrations from local teams and gyms, and participate in interactive family activities scattered throughout the event.
Photo opportunities are set up throughout the block, and performances from local DJs and bands keep the energy high all afternoon.

Food Vendors and Live Music All Day
The food lineup brings everything from street eats and ballpark classics to unique flavors and signature dishes, giving you plenty of options to fuel up while soaking in the lively atmosphere.
This year features a full entertainment schedule with multiple music vignettes, including high-energy sets from local DJs and performances from San Diego-based talent.
The immersive entertainment is designed to keep the crowd cheering long before the first pitch at Petco Park.

Celebrating Community and Baseball
Dominic Li Mandri, District Manager of the East Village Association, says the Block Party brings the community together in a way that truly embodies the spirit of the neighborhood.
The event celebrates the return of Padres baseball right in the heart of East Village, and it’s a joy to welcome families, residents, and visitors to enjoy the food, culture, and creativity that define the community.
See you there!
The East Village Block Party proves that Opening Weekend is about more than just the game – it’s about the whole neighborhood coming together to celebrate baseball season.
