Fresno couple sentenced for murder of woman and 3-week-old baby

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The couple who admitted to killing a young mother and her three-week-old baby have learned their punishment.

Yarelly Solorio-Rivera was sentenced to life without parole, and Martin Arroyo-Morales was handed down 22 years in prison.

Back in 2022, Solorio-Rivera’s 18-year-old sister, Yanelly, and her infant daughter were shot to death.

During the investigation, Yarelly spoke to detectives and confessed to the killings.

Arroyo-Morales admitted to officers that he was there, that they had a plan and Yarelly gave him the gun after the shooting.

Yarelly also told police she was jealous of the attention being given to her sister and the newborn.
