BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A California Army National Guard recruiter was arrested after allegedly having unlawful sex with a minor. Police said the 24-year-old recruiter visited high schools, vocational schools, and colleges in Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Police Department said on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, the Bakersfield Police Department Special Victims Unit detectives arrested 24-year-old Jacob Robles for unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

Police said during the course of the investigation, it was determined that Robles is employed as a recruiter with the California Army National Guard.

According to police, as a recruiter, Robles visited various educational entities, including high schools, vocational schools, and colleges found in Bakersfield.

This investigation is ongoing and includes identifying any additional victims.
