FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A Fresno man with a long criminal history is back in jail, marking what authorities say is his 36th arrest.
Detectives arrested 46-year-old Michael Delsid on Tuesday.
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of evading police, reckless driving and probation violations.
Deputies say he also had an outstanding warrant connected to robbery, domestic violence, violating a protection order and dissuading a victim from testifying.
At this time, he is not eligible for bail.
According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, detectives tried to pull Delsid over Tuesday afternoon while he was driving a pickup truck.
Instead of stopping, deputies say he took off, leading them on a chase through Fresno.
The chase ended near Clinton and Marks avenues, when a deputy used what’s known as a PIT maneuver, a tactic designed to safely spin out a fleeing vehicle.
Investigators say the truck spun, hit a curb and came to a stop.

Deputies, along with officers from other local agencies assigned to the Adult Compliance Team, took Delsid into custody without any injuries or damage to property.
Authorities say Delsid has been in and out of the system for decades.
His criminal record dates back to 1994 and includes drug offenses, property crimes and violent crimes.
Most recently, he served six months in the Fresno County Jail in 2025 for probation violations and violating a protective order.
Even though Delsid is now in custody, investigators say they’re still looking for anyone who may have additional information.
