SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Authorities have released the cause of death for Victoria Jones, the daughter of Hollywood legend Tommy Lee Jones, according to a report from ABC7.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner revealed that Victoria died from an accidental cocaine overdose, according to the report. She was 34 years old.

Victoria was found dead at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco sometime before 3:14 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

Victoria was Jones’ second daughter. She had small acting roles in “Men in Black II,” alongside her father, and “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which Jones directed and starred in. Her most recent acting role came in 2014, when she appeared in “Homesman,” according to IMDb.

Victoria was facing a domestic battery case out of Sonoma County at the time of death, after being accused of striking someone during an incident on June 13, 2025, in Napa, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

In the years before that, her father successfully petitioned to have her placed under a temporary conservatorship due to her need for drug rehabilitation and “life-threatening conduct,” according to a report from the San Francisco Chronicle.
