FRESNO, California — A 24-year-old school maintenance worker was arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

Troy DeCarlo, of Fresno, was booked into the Fresno County Jail following an investigation by detectives with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Detectives acted on a CyberTip and apprehended DeCarlo at his workplace, the Selma Unified School District’s Transportation Yard, where he was employed as a substitute maintenance worker and groundskeeper.

DeCarlo, who began working for the district in December 2025, was always under the supervision of at least one other employee and had limited contact with students, stated the press release. His electronic devices were seized for further analysis.
