Kapuso actress and Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose finally ticked off one of her dream collaborations after she joined award-winning singer-songwriter Josh Groban in his GEMS World Tour on Wednesday, February 18, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
She was the special, unannounced guest in the Philippine leg of Josh’s concert.
Before Julie Anne entered the stage, Josh revealed the collaboration happened some time after his exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com where he expressed his wish to sing with the Kapuso star.
“[Julie Anne] is somebody I manifested from an interview,” said Josh. “I was talking about singers that I really admire in this country and singers that I really want to blend voices with. Somehow, that became a headline, and that turned into a DM, and that turned into talking with managers…”
He added, “I cannot believe that she took out of her schedule to be here tonight. She is an actress, a singer, [and] a writer. Somebody who is so deep into the pop culture of this incredible country. She is amazing.”

Josh and Julie performed the former’s duet song with Sara Bareilles, “Both Sides Now.”
Julie celebrated the milestone on Instagram and said it was a “full-circle moment.”
“What a dream… such an honor and inspiration, [Josh Groban],” Julie wrote online. “It’s a full-circle moment. From listening to your songs eversince I started my musical journey to singing together felt so surreal! Thank you for sharing your kindness and music!”
