WALNUT CREEK, CA — A chase by car and air ended in the arrest of four suspects who led police, sheriff’s deputies, and highway patrol across multiple cities.
The pursuit happened early Jan. 31 after a group smashed the windows of cars in a Walnut Creek neighborhood and then drove away in a white sedan.
Walnut Creek police, a Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office air unit, and California Highway Patrolfollowed the suspects, who jumped out of the sedan on Highway 13 and ran down the embankment into a wooded area before being arrested.
Walnut Creek police said the group is suspected of other vehicle burglaries that happened around the same time.
