A missing skier’s body was found at Northstar California Resort on Thursday morning, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. Colin Kang, a 21-year-old man from Fremont, was reported missing around 11 p.m. on Wednesday. The sheriff’s office said investigators found his vehicle in the parking lot of Northstar and determined he went skiing but did not return.The sheriff’s office, the Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue Team and Northstar ski patrollers began a search Wednesday morning. Kang was found dead around 9 a.m. on the advanced Sugar Pine Glade trail. Northstar said he was an employee at the resort who was off duty at the time of the incident. “We are heartbroken by this loss,” said Tara Schoedinger, general manager of Northstar California Resort. “Our deepest sympathies are with his family and loved ones, and with the team members who had the privilege of working alongside him.”Kang is the third skier to die at Northstar since Feb. 11. Stuart McLaughlin, 53, and Nicholar Kenworthy, 26, were recently found dead.
