Nearly 250 people who work for a Frito-Lay warehouse in Rancho Cucamonga are expected to be laid off as the Inland Empire facility is scheduled to shut down permanently, NBC Los Angeles learned Thursday.

A warning notice was filed in San Bernardino County on Feb. 10 as 248 employees at the warehouse on Archibald Avenue were informed of the layoff plans.

The last day of the workers is expected to be June 6, 2026.

“We are committed to treating impacted employees with the utmost care, including providing pay and benefits continuation based on their years of service, along with transition assistance and career support,” PeipsiCo Foods, Frito-Lay’s parent company, said in a statement to NBCLA.

The company explained the operations at the Rancho Cucamonga location will be shifted to a new distribution center “in the local community” although the corporate did not specify where.
