A driver is hospitalized Friday with critical injuries suffered in a rollover crash Friday on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles.
California Highway Patrol officers were called to the westbound freeway, east of La Brea Avenue at 1:25 a.m. Friday where they found the wreckage, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.
The SUV left the freeway, struck an embankment and rolled down a hill.
The victim — whose name, age and gender were not immediately known — was taken to a hospital in critical condition by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
