Oakland Zoo welcomed its newest resident Friday: a red-tailed monkey baby.
Authorities with the zoo say two of their red-tailed guenons, Nonami and Marley, became the parents of a “healthy baby boy.”
Officials said this would be the zoo’s first red-tailed monkey baby; they added Nonami’s first babies were born at a previous zoo.
Zoo officials added keepers were excited for the guenon baby and are working on a name.
