Public health officials cite infestation and food prep cleanliness issues.
Health officials have ordered the temporary closure of a Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Marina del Rey after inspectors documented a vermin infestation and other violations, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
The restaurant was shut down Feb. 17 following an inspection by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Officials cited two major violations, including evidence of vermin, which can include rodents or insects, and issues related to the cleanliness of food preparation surfaces.
County records did not indicate when the restaurant would be cleared to reopen.
A spokesperson for the steakhouse chain told KTLA that the Marina del Rey location is expected to resume operations on Friday evening, but when we called the business, no one answered.
