LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) — Four people were killed in a fiery crash early Saturday in Long Beach, authorities said.
Officers responded at 1:18 a.m. to a single-vehicle collision in the area of East Spring Street and Lakewood Boulevard, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Long Beach firefighters found four people inside the gray sedan and pronounced them deceased at the scene. They were not immediately identified.
“It is unknown whether speed, distracted driving, or impaired driving were contributing factors,” the Police Department said in a statement. The investigation was ongoing.
Lakewood Boulevard was closed in both directions between Spring Street and Willow Street. Drivers were urged to avoid the area.
