At least four people were killed in a fiery crash in Long Beach Saturday.

Officers responded, about 1:20 a.m., to a single-vehicle crash in the area of East Spring Street and Lakewood Boulevard, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

“Four individuals were in the vehicle,” according to a police statement. “Long Beach Fire Department personnel determined all four occupants deceased at the scene. Their ages and genders are unknown at this time.”

Police said it was unknown whether speed, distracted driving, or impaired driving were contributing factors and that Collision Investigation detectives were at the scene. The investigation was ongoing.
