SAN JOSE, Calif.—Maya Anderson reached the 20-point plateau for the second consecutive game as the San José State women’s basketball team fell to second-place Boise State, 71-48, Saturday afternoon in a Mountain West game at the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
Anderson led the Spartans with 20 points in the game, going a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line. She has now scored 20 or more points in four games and her second consecutive after a 22-point night in the win over Utah State Wednesday night.
Allie Cummins was the only other Spartan in double figures with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field, 4-for-7 from three-point range.
Kaliyah Dillard led San José State in rebounding for the second straight game with seven rebounds.
Katarina Anderson again led the team with four assists and grabbed three steals.
Gabriela Pato came off the bench to grab six rebounds and block three shots.
The Spartans blocked six shots in the game for the fifth time this season.
San José State shot a season-best 92.9% from the free-throw line, making 13-of 14 attempts.
