FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — New Mexico walked into the Save Mart Center on Saturday afternoon as one of the top three men’s basketball teams in the challenging Mountain West Conference.
That made Fresno State’s hot start all the more impressive – after a Gaspar Kocevar 3-pointer, the Bulldogs took a 40-18 lead over the NCAA Tournament hopefuls.
But the Lobos chipped away at the deficit, bringing it down to 12 by halftime and eventually taking the lead midway through the 2nd half.
Check out the highlights above, including postgame reaction from Fresno State head coach Vance Walberg, of the Bulldogs’ 80-78 loss to the Lobos.
