SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Police are searching for a driver who hit and killed a woman on a mobility scooter in South Los Angeles overnight.
The deadly crash happened just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Slauson Avenue.
Los Angeles police said the woman was crossing the street at Denver Avenue when the driver hit her and sped off.
Medics rushed the 30-year-old woman to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Investigators say they’re looking for a mid-2000s black Chevy Tahoe or Suburban with front-end damage.
