SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A man was injured while fending off a knife-wielding woman at a business in San Francisco Saturday night, police said.
The woman entered the business in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood around 7:36 p.m. and started arguing with a man running the place, the San Francisco Police Department said Wednesday afternoon.
That argument turned into a fight where the woman attacked the man with a knife, police said. The man was able to fend off most of the attack, but suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the SFPD.
Officers responded to the business and took the woman into custody on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism, the SFPD said. She was identified by police as 39-year-old Tynthia Bouza.
Police did not provide details about what prompted the argument or whether the man’s injuries were treated at any point.
