Six people were injured, including one person who was ejected, in a hit-and-run collision in midtown Sacramento early Sunday morning, according to authorities.
Just after 1:30 a.m. , officers responded to a collision between a sedan and a van near 20th and P streets, a spokesperson with the Sacramento Police Department said.
One person from the van, which officials say was struck by the sedan, was ejected in the crash, but none of the injuries in the wreck were considered life-threatening, according to police. Capt. Justin Sylvia, a spokesperson for the Sacramento Fire Department, said two victims were hospitalized with critical injuries; another four were hospitalized in “stable” condition.
The driver of the sedan fled the scene on foot before officers arrived, and a hit-and-run investigation was conducted, police said.
