SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A San Francisco woman is facing multiple charges, including burglary, after being arrested on Sunday for shoplifting over $1,700 worth of merchandise from Lululemon in San Mateo, police said.

At around 5:29 p.m. on Sunday, San Mateo Police officers said they responded to a report of a theft that had just occurred at the Lululemon located at 17 Hillsdale Mall.

After receiving a description of the suspect, police said they found and detained a woman, later identified as 46-year-old Nicole Root of San Francisco.

Police said they recovered $1,736.46 worth of Lululemon merchandise.

Officers said they searched her and found an illegal switchblade knife and drug paraphernalia inside one of her personal bags, leading to additional charges.

Root was transported and booked into the San Mateo County Jail, police said.

She faces charges including second-degree burglary, possession of an illegal switchblade knife, and possession of unlawful paraphernalia, police said.
