Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day around central California, with Merced warming to 79, Madera, Hanford, and Visalia all reaching 80, while Fresno topped out at 81. There was enough fog to drop the visibility in Hanford down to 1/2 mile early Saturday morning, but that burned off quickly and the rest of the day was pleasant.
Sunday doesn’t look much different, with most Valley locations warming to around 80 by the end of the day. This wonderful weather will continue through Tuesday.
We’ll change things up by Wednesday. A disturbance currently off the coast of Baja California will slowly move northward over the next few days, and move into central California by Wednesday. It’ll bring us scattered showers, and knock our highs down to the middle 70’s.
We’ll dry up on Thursday, but we won’t warm up. Look for highs to remain in the middle 70’s through Friday.
A series of disturbances from the central Pacific will make our weather unsettled next weekend. Computer models had been suggesting some pretty good rain for us next weekend, but most of them are backing off of that now, and saying we’ll pick up just scattered showers. That’s still a ways out, so let’s give the models a little more time to fine tune this potentially unsettled forecast.
But there still is a chance of wet weather next weekend. So, if you’d like to stay dry, maybe this weekend is the perfect time to go to the pumpkin patch and pick out the family pumpkin! Halloween is less than 2 weeks away now.
