San Francisco has many popular night markets regularly popping up throughout the city. One of the most well-known markets is the Sunset Night Market, which drew thousands of people to the neighborhood in 2024. The market took a brief hiatus in 2025, but organizers announced at the beginning of the year that it would return in 2026. Don’t miss the long-awaited night market this weekend, on February 27, from 5 to 10 pm on Irving Street.

The first market of the year will serve as a Lunar New Year celebration, and you can expect local AAPI street food vendors, along with four stages with live music and dancing. Aside from the many food vendors, the market will showcase local artisans and businesses. The night market is family-friendly, with games and activities available for all ages.

The Lunar New Year night market is just the first in a series of four events this year. The next night market will take place on June 12 in celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival. You can also look forward to markets in September and December, all featuring plenty of great local food and businesses.

The night market is organized by Sunset Mercantile, which is responsible for numerous other community events in the neighborhood, including regular farmers’ markets in the Outer Sunset every Sunday, stocked with fresh produce, food trucks, and even live music. Another popular event is Second Hand Saturday, held on the third Saturday of each month. The market is inspired by traditional flea markets, but with curated vintage sellers and artists.
Check out the night market this weekend on Friday, February 27, from 5 to 10 pm. The market will take place on Irving Street, between 20th and 25th Avenue. We recommend taking public transit to the market, as many people are expected, and parking may be difficult.
