Re “Rights and risks when protesting or documenting” (Feb. 15): “Experts say people should know their rights but caution that exercising them can come with risks, and people need to balance First Amendment freedoms with their own safety.”

Wow, that is a load of doublespeak! 

Here is the scenario. I am videotaping an enforcement action. The enforcers see me and now come at me with what looks like hostile intent. It appears that I am now the target for an enforcement action. If I run or defiantly stand my ground, I am now impeding an enforcement action, for which I am arrested.

Is this the risk we must balance with our rights? To be arrested by the very government that has been sent to protect us?
