LOS ANGELES, CA — A man died Monday after he lost his balance and fell between two Metro train cars while exiting the train in downtown Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the 7th Street/Metro Center station at around 5:45 p.m. Monday, where they extricated the man from the tracks, CBS Los Angeles reported.
The man fell as he was exiting the E Line train. He lost his balance as he was walking on the platform and fell between the couplers, which connect train cars together, Metro said in a statement.
The man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead, according to Metro.
