Two people were killed in a shooting at a San Jose shopping center Tuesday morning, police said
At around 11:38 a.m. Tuesday, San Jose Police officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 500 Block of El Paseo de Saratoga. The narrow road cuts through El Paseo de Saratoga, a shopping center in West San Jose. The closest store to that address is a PetCo, but the mall also houses an AMC movie theater and an REI nearby.

An adult man and adult woman were both pronounced dead at the scene, San Jose Police said. Police described the shooting as an “isolated incident” but did not immediately release additional details or identify the victims Tuesday afternoon.
Police were at the scene investigating Tuesday afternoon. Drivers were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
