Marianne Hinsberger Horan
OBITUARY
Marianne Hinsberger Horan, 90, of Anaheim, California, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Born May 24, 1935, in Los Angeles to Leo and Adeline Hinsberger; and had five siblings. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University and worked as a social worker for the Counties of Los Angeles and Orange.
She married John J. “Jack” Horan, Jr. in 1961, and together they raised six children in Anaheim. A longtime parishioner of St. Anthony, Marianne volunteered as a CCD and ESL instructor and was known for her quiet kindness, strong faith, and unwavering dedication to her family.
She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Jack. Marianne is survived by her children, John Horan, Nancy Bakunas, Peggy Baggott Richards, Thomas Horan, James Horan, and Jennifer Gutierrez; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her brother, Harold Hinsberger; her sister Eileen Hinsberger, OP.
Services:
Visitation/Rosary 5-7 pm, Friday, February 27, 2026, at Hilgenfeld Mortuary, 120 E. Broadway, Anaheim.
Funeral Mass 10 am, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Anthony Claret Church, 1450 E. La Palma Ave., Anaheim.
Private burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
