The Edmonton Oilers play their first game out of the Olympic break against the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center on Wednesday, February 25.
My top Oilers vs. Ducks predictions and NHL picks are calling for Edmonton pulling away from Anaheim in a high-scoring game tonight.
Oilers vs Ducks prediction
Oilers vs Ducks best bet: Over 6.5 (-115)
There have been at least seven goals in seven straight Edmonton Oilers games, and the Oil also rank fourth in goals per game (3.41).
Additionally, the Anaheim Ducks have allowed the fourth-most goals per game (3.48), and Edmonton slides in just below with the eighth-most against per (3.29). Anaheim has also scored a healthy 3.2 per, with the number climbing to 3.5 on home ice.
I’m also anticipating loose defense from both out of the Olympic break, and the Oilers and Ducks also respectively rank 28th and 26th in team save percentage at five-on-five.

Oilers vs Ducks same-game parlay
The championship drive starts for the Oilers out of the Olympic break, and I’m anticipating the one-two superstar punch of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl to cash in on the highlighted defensive shortcomings of the Ducks.
Look for No. 97 and No. 29 to put enough goals on the board to pull away from Anaheim tonight.

Neil Parker is, first and foremost, a sports fan. A huge supporter of the Cowboys, Cubs, and Maple Leafs, he has managed to parlay his passion into writing gigs at some of the top websites in the industry.
Neil takes a numbers-based approach to his handicapping and complements his in-depth statistical analysis with a keen eye on the markets to provide the best available odds. He loves to lean on his rolodex of idioms to offset his inner nerd. When it comes to wagering, he throws down on anything that catches his eye at bet365, Betway and BetVictor. He also keeps a close eye on CoolBet because the polar bear brand often has outlier NHL and NFL moneyline prices.
Neil graduated with honors from St. Thomas University in 2007 before completing his BEd at Acadia University in 2010. After teaching a myriad of courses and subjects, he found a groove delivering fun lessons to exceptional learners in non-traditional classroom environments. If his decade-plus teaching run taught him anything about sports betting, it’s to stay the course and use the summer – or offseason – to refresh and prepare to be better in the year to come.
