BART service resumed between San Francisco and Oakland Friday morning after a computer network hardware issue shut down train service for about 45 minutes, according to the transit agency.
Officials said public transit riders should expect system-wide delays as service resumed shortly after 9 a.m.
Starting at 8:25 a.m., issues arose with computer equipment, stranding large numbers of public transit riders across the Bay Area.
Muni was providing mutual aid between the Embarcadero and and Daly City BART stations.
