BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help in finding two missing boys, who were last seen in south Bakersfield.

Police said 12-year-old Daniel Joseph Alvarez and 11-year-old Joel Christian Alvarez were last seen on February 26th, 2026, at around 7 a.m., in the 3100 block of Coventry Drive, near Amy B. Seibert Elementary School in south Bakersfield.

Both boys are considered at risk due to being first-time runaways and their ages.

Daniel Joseph Alvarez is described as Hispanic, 5’01” tall, 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and unknown color pants, riding a white bicycle.

Joel Christian Alvarez is described as Hispanic, 4’09” tall, 100 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and pajama pants, riding a blue bicycle.
