Part of Highway 41 will soon close as crews work on a maintenance project, the California Department of Transportation said in a Wednesday, Feb. 25, post on Facebook.

When is Highway 41 closing in Fresno? Where?
Caltrans is closing the No. 2 lane of northbound Highway 41 at Central Avenue to North Avenue in Fresno for “maintenance operations” starting at 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27.
The Highway 41 off-ramp at North Avenue will also be closed starting at 8 a.m. Friday, the state roads agency said.
How long will freeway lane, edit be closed?
The Highway 41 lane and exit are slated to remain blocked to traffic until 2 p.m. Friday, Caltrans said.
“Closures may continue for longer periods of time … due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur during maintenance,” Caltrans said, adding that the scheduled roadwork is “weather permitting.”
Caltrans reminded drivers to take “extra care and allow for additional travel time” while traveling in the area.
