A person died Friday morning after a shooting involving at least one Sacramento County deputy, the sheriff’s office said. The shooting happened around 8 a.m. near New Hope and Orr roads west of the Galt area, and the deputy is OK, the sheriff’s office said. KCRA 3 is working to gather more details as to what led to the shooting, but the sheriff’s office called the person who died at the scene a suspect.
