Two weeks after the W.F. West High School cheerleading team won two state championships, the team traveled to Anaheim, California, for the 2026 USA Spirit Nationals and shined in multiple categories from Feb. 19 through Feb. 23.

The W.F. West cheer team finished second in the nation in the “varsity show cheer intermediate non-tumbling medium” category.

The Bearcats also finished third in the “game day fight song large” category and fifth in the “crowdleader large” finals.

Additionally, they placed 14th in the “game day band chant large” category.

The W.F. West cheerleaders took home state championships in the non-tumbling medium category and the gameday large category at the state meet at Battle Ground High School on Feb. 6 and Feb. 7.
