Save
Tucked into the industrial edges of the Arts District where concrete and creativity collide, a quiet little cat refuge purrs behind an unassuming door. You could walk past it without realizing that inside a handful of small lions nap like they own the city.
This modern cat lounge and creative space is the latest cat cafe to open in L.A. with a full agenda of community-minded events.
Not a Rescue — A Sanctuary
Little Lions Social Club isn’t a rescue. They work with their partner, Friends of Normie. But it is a cat sanctuary. About 15 to 20 adoptable cats roam a softly designed lounge where tea steams and the lighting flatters both humans and whiskers.
What Can You Do In The Cat Lounge?
In the cat lounge, you can spend your time hanging out with adoptable cats, sipping tea, getting lost in a good book, or making something special from their craft drawer. They also host events like movie nights, live music, and creative workshops, so there’s always something new to experience. It’s a space designed for you to slow down, play, and reconnect with cozy vibes.
Some Upcoming Events:
Feb. 27, 2026: Between Two Worlds ⛰︎ A Multilingual RnB Experience by Courtney Knott Feb. 28, 2026: Movie Night: Love & Basketball Built by Burnt-Out Dreamers
The founders describe it as a “wild idea between a few burnt-out friends,” which feels very Los Angeles in the most honest way. The dream began with one tiny foster kitten found on the street. From there, it snowballed into late-night brainstorms, construction hiccups, and now finally, a gorgeous cat sanctuary to bring the community together.
The Rules That Protect the Vibe
The boundaries are gentle but firm:
No outside food or drinks (the cats’ safety comes first). No children under 10. Guests over 10 must be accompanied by an adult (18+). Reservations are highly recommended — the space is intentionally intimate. General lounge sessions allow flexible arrival during your time slot. Special events (workshops, movie nights, classes) require on-time arrival; once they begin, late entry isn’t allowed.
