ROSEBURG, Ore. — The Roseburg Police Department says an Oakland woman in possession of a stolen iPad used the iPad’s messenger app to contact the owner and offer to sell it back for $80.
The owner of the iPad agreed to meet Tuesday at Sunshine Park for the exchange.
What the owner didn’t reveal was that they’d be joined by police officers.
Police arrested 42-year-old Britanne Carol Jansen, who was booked on theft and parole violation charges.
They also cited and released 62-year-old Arthur Dewitt Stockett for a felony parole violation, who accompanied Jansen to the park.
