Marathon Burger, the fast food chain founded by the late rapper Nipsey Hussle’s estate, opened its newest location on Pine Avenue this weekend — bringing the nationally recognized and culturally rooted brand to downtown.

The grand opening of the restaurant, 245 Pine Ave., No. 110, took place on Sunday with music, long lines and plenty of smashed burgers.

Founded by Samiel “Blacc Sam” Asghedom, Hussle’s brother, Marathon Burger has grown into a well-known Los Angeles burger joint. The flagship location is along Melrose Avenue and has expanded to Venice Beach and Canoga Park.

The Long Beach location was opened in partnership with the Broadus family, which includes Snoop Dogg and his son, Cordell Broadus.

Marathon Burger’s menu features wagyu smash burgers, wings, fries and milkshakes.
