The San Francisco SPCA — one of the oldest humane societies in the country — is throwing a free Birthday Block Party to celebrate 158 years of caring for animals.

Join us on Alabama Street right outside the SF SPCA campus for an afternoon of community, tail wags, and celebration. Everyone is welcome — dogs included.

What to Expect: Off the Grid food trucks and beverage stations, live entertainment throughout the day, hands-on crafts for kids and creative minds of all ages, local vendors featuring animal-friendly goodies for humans and pets, on-site pet portraits, and SF SPCA activity stations where you can learn about their services and programs. Visit all activity stations to receive an SF SPCA tote bag.

Paws & People Look-Alike Contest: Think you and your pup are twins? Sign up for the Look-Alike Contest with categories including Best Dressed Duo, Best Hair Team, and Overall Matching Twins. Sign up at sfspca.org/birthday-block-party-contest.

RSVP for a Commemorative Pin: Admission is free, but RSVP in advance to receive a special commemorative SF SPCA Birthday Block Party pin at the event — one pin per RSVP, while supplies last. Commemorative artwork by @3fishstudios.

Support the Celebration: The Birthday Block Party celebrates the programs, people, and community that make the SF SPCA’s work possible. Donations welcome at the event and online.
